The 11th International Telecommunications Network Strategy and Planning Symposium, Networks 2004, was held in Vienna, Austria, June 13-16, 2004. It offered network operators, system and software manufacturers, service providers, system integrators, and researchers an ideal international platform for information, discussion, and knowledge sharing. Networks 2004 provided an excellent forum for an exchange of experience and the best possible source of information for all individuals working in this field. The conference attendees represented 25 countries with various disciplines and backgrounds.

The technical program was preceded by one-day tutorials, featured more than 70 technical papers, covered a wide variety of topics from fixed to mobile networks, and from network planning to migration and evolution.
